Caleb Williams recently appeared on the Pivot Podcast to discuss what he's been going through before the 2024 NFL Draft. Talking with Ryan Clark and Fred Taylor, Williams said his long-term goal is to catch up to only one person, alluding to Tom Brady and his seven Super Bowl rings, and that he's heard Chicago is a great place that loves football.

When the Bears traded Justin Fields, it became clear who they would select with the first overall pick in the draft come April 25. Williams shared his thoughts and initial reaction to this news.

Caleb Williams' Future with the Bears

Sitting down with Ryan Clark and Fred Taylor, Williams said the following:

Chicago definitely loves football, and the Windy City has long been a "Bears town." But this is different. General manager Ryan Poles is creating a new environment for Caleb Williams. He's made moves that Bears fans only dreamed of in the past, and Williams' potential is something Chicago hasn't seen... ever.

When Clark asked Williams what went through his mind when the Bears traded Fields, he said his phone erupted with messages. Upon hearing the news, it became clear to Williams where he was heading to in the NFL, and he's ready to get started.
