Retired UFC legend and former two-division champion Daniel Cormier is no stranger to adversity but encountered a unique opponent on Tuesday.
As mentioned by TMZ Sports, Cormier was filming a segment for the "DC & RC" show that also features former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark when the mixed martial arts specialist told Clark he was experiencing an earthquake.
"Oh my God, Ryan, there's an earthquake," Cormier explained while trying to make a point about fighting. "There's an actual earthquake going on right now. My whole office is shaking right now."
Clark was shocked and understandably concerned.
"Shut the hell up," Clark responded. "Are you good?"
Cormier assured Clark that everything, in the grand scheme of things, was fine.
"I'm good, I'm good. It's not a big one," Cormier said about the situation. "It's just like a little one. Every now and then, you kind of get the rockies."

Cormier was right in that Amir Vera and Stella Chan of CNN noted the US Geological Survey reported a 5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Seven Trees, which is located near San Jose, California, late Tuesday morning local time:
A prelim. M5.1 earthquake has occurred in east of San Jose. Additional shaking from aftershocks can be expected in the region. We are continuing to monitor this region. Check back for additional information. #SanJose #earthquake pic.twitter.com/ykizkyndKT

According to Ariana Bindman of SFGate, the earthquake caused Bay Area Rapid Transit trains to be delayed due to inspections:
12:21pm Update: All track inspections are now complete.

No damage found and all service is clear for normal operations.
Delay recovery is in progress. Trains are currently delayed by 3-18 minutes.
Cormier was able to laugh about the matter on Twitter after the fact:
Filming DC&RC and a damn earthquake!!! 5.1 , watch my screen as I am talking about prepping for a fight. My god, great show today tho! @espnmma @Realrclark25 pic.twitter.com/U0km1rqnCp
