Former Tennessee Vols baseball standout Trey Lipscomb got the call this week.
Lipscomb is getting called up by the Washington Nationals this weekend ahead of Saturday's game against the Cincinnati Reds (Washington opened the season on Thursday before an off day on Friday).
The former Vol, who was selected by the Nationals in the third round of the 2022 MLB Draft, will replace Nick Senzel on Washington's 26-man roster.

Lipscomb hit .272 with 14 home runs and 72 RBIs last season while splitting time between high A and double A. He'll make his MLB debut this weekend despite never appearing in a AAA game.
